MEMORANDUM FOR SOUTH CENTRAL PUNISHERS WRESTLING CLUB FROM: SOUTH CENTRAL PUNISHERS WRESTLING CLUB October 5, 2023 SUBJECT:

WELCOME LETTER The South Central Punishers Wrestling Club welcomes you to the 2023-2024 wrestling season. We are looking forward to another exceptional year of youth wrestling. This past season we had 2 individual national champions, countless All-Americans, 17 individual state champions, and 57 state placers (Middle School and Elementary State). As many know our season last year still faced some hurdles with COVID-19 still lingered yet our wrestlers prevailed. Our goal remains the same to fully expect to remain in the Top 2 again this season with a chance to win another team state championship. The expectation of our wrestlers, regardless of skill level, is to provide maximum effort and compete against anyone from anywhere. Our team is second to none in the state and the multi-state region and is building the next generation of wrestlers.

The purpose of the South Central Punishers Wrestling Club is to promote the sport of wrestling to area youth through instructional training of proper wrestling techniques, as well as prepare them for middle school and high school wrestling. The South Central Punishers Wrestling Club has a highly qualified coaching staff assisting in the instructional training of the wrestlers, a sound vision, and providing additional wrestling opportunities across the state and nation. Our coaching staff conducts all training in an environment designed to promote a fun, yet informative, training experience. Hard work, dedication, and sportsmanship are promoted. However, it is through positive reinforcement and environment that our staff provides the best possible training for each wrestler. South Central Punisher Wrestling Club has high expectations of character for all persons associated with in our wrestling club. Every coach, wrestler and parent is not only a representative of this wrestling club, but of our community. Our actions are as important as our words, so please lead by example, and remember to show our young athletes the true definition of “good sportsmanship.”Lastly, parental involvement with the wrestling club’s activities is critical to our success. The wrestling season does consume many nights of practice and weekends. Therefore, the integration of families is critical so that we can rely upon each other throughout the season. We couldn’t be more impressed with the families we have in this program and the new ones that continue to join us each season.

Once again welcome to this season of Punisher Wrestling!

The South Central Punisher Wrestling Club will be conducting a Fundraiser from November 1st through December 14th. The money raised will be used to increase our club funds which support the purchases of coaches bands, mat cleaner, state entry fees, and other associated costs this season. All of these projects depend on these funds. In addition to this fundraiser; parents will help and be available for the Punisher Duals on Dec 17th, District Duals Feb 11th, District Tournament, and State Tournament. This is a requirement by all parents in the past our Open Parents (have helped a ton with Punisher Duals, DistrictDuals, and State) while our Novice Parents will be available to help support during District2Tournament post the Novice season hosted at the Kansas Star Casino. Please help your child with our campaign to sell raffle tickets with a chance to win 1 of 3 gift cards. This year gift cards will include Cabellas, Academy Sports, and Buffalo WildWingsPlease sell to friends, family, neighbors, and people at work. Since we do not host a local tournament, each wrestler is required to sell at least $50, or each family to sell at least $100. If your child sells $100 or more in tickets, the wrestling club will purchase their t-shirt and shorts valued at $35! If you need more tickets, please let us know and we will get you more! The individual wrestler and family (two or more)that sells the most tickets will also receive a prize!
